To be eligible for a TA of Grader porition the university requires students to attend the PIE teaching conference (http://pie.fsu.edu). Have you attended the PIE teaching conference? *

Previous Experience (new students can enter N/A or Not Applicable in this section)
The general policy of the Department is to award TA and GA for at most 4 semesters. However, depending on the experience, GPA, and the previous evaluations of the applicant the Department might award assistantships for more than 4 semesters.

English Proficiency
Students who are not native speakers of English are supposed to take the speaking section of the TOELF test or the SPEAK test at FSU (http://cies.fsu.edu/itap/speak_exam.php). The university requires to have a score of 26 points or better in the speaking section of the TOEFL test or 50 points of better in the SPEAK test in order to be eligible for a TA position. To be eligible for a grader position the students must have at least 26 points in the speaking section of the TOEFL test or 45 points in the SPEAK test.
